Trainer Bio

Paolo Sebastiani - Paolo Sebastiani is an English-Italian, French-Italian and German-Italian Professional Translator with over 15 years of experience in Italy and abroad. He obtained his first University degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Urbino in 1991 and his second University degree in Political Studies, at the same University in the year 2000. He founded his Translation Agency, Eurolingua, in 1994 and since then has been working as translator, interpreter and Cat-Tool official Trainer. He has organized many in-person training courses about Wordfast, SDL Trados and Atril Dejavu in different Italian towns and as a ProZ.com Professional Trainer, has run many Wordfast-PRO, Wordfast-Classic and Wordfast-Anywhere training sessions for progressive knowledge acquisition with excellent feedbacks. Paolo lives in Rimini, Italy

I found the content extremely useful for someone like myself: I have little experience on WF or any CAT tools and also did not know how one's command of CAT tools impacts on the business side of freelance translation.

I have been working for many years as a translator without using any CAT tool and was very hesitant about changing that. I bought Wordfast PRO and took this course with Paolo. It was so incredibly helpful. I went from being absolutely clueless to being able to use Wordfast PRO without any problems. I delivered several jobs with Wordfast PRO shortly after and the project manager never even noticed that it was my first time using a CAT tool. And most surprising to me, now I actually enjoy working on Wordfast PRO files!!

A course for people who do not know anything at all about any CAT tools, as it starts explaining what a TM is, for instance. I think the general rhythm was very slow, explaining and repeating things too much. Sometimes I had the feeling the instructor could have prepared the material in advance to make things flow easier. Besides, there were some minor problems with the platform which could have been deleted from the recording to avoid repeating things.
